About Dr. O’Connor

We are delighted to welcome Dr. O’Connor to the team at Arizona Veterinary Oncology. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. O’Connor is a devoted dog owner to two adorable rescues and a passionate sports fan. She enjoys watching football on Sundays and staying updated on the latest sports news. Growing up in Ashland, Massachusetts, a small town near Boston, Dr. O’Connor loved spending time outdoors, hiking, relaxing on the beaches of Cape Cod, and savoring a wicked good lobster roll whenever she could. During her college years in New Hampshire, she worked on multiple dairy farms and appreciated the peaceful early morning milking shifts. Her diverse background and personal interests enable her to provide thoughtful and comprehensive care to her clients and their pets.

Education & Career

Dr. O’Connor completed her undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her passion for oncology developed during her veterinary studies and was deeply influenced by personal experiences with family cancer diagnoses, fueling her commitment to advancing the field and providing a thoughtful and attentive approach to veterinary care. She further honed her skills during a small animal rotating internship at Tufts VETS and completed a residency in medical oncology at Cornell University.

Personality

Dr. O’Connor is thrilled to have moved to the Phoenix area. Her weekends often include attending games at Chase Field to cheer on the Arizona Diamondbacks or exploring the local culinary scene at unique eateries. This blend of interests—ranging from outdoor adventures to cultural experiences—reflects her dynamic nature and allows her to connect deeply with both people and pets through her warm-hearted and enthusiastic approach.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. O’Connor to the team as she begins her new role at Arizona Veterinary Oncology. We are excited to have her join us and look forward to the valuable contributions she will bring to our practice.
